I have a 2000 R/T CC and I just recently installed the M1 2bbl Manifold and F&B 52mm TB. Now before these mods I had K&N Intake, Full Gibson Exhaust and Headers, Mopar PCM, and I had nice pickup and go. Once I installed the M1 and 52mm TB I noticed that the truck is a little hesitant off the start is this normal?? It does kick in and go around 2500 rpm though. Just wondering if this is the way that this manifold is supposed to work??

Did you grind down the spacers for the fuel rails - if you did then the next step is to start checking the O-rings on the injectors - one of them may have got nicked when re-installing the injectors.

Jim,
The reason you don't feel that "kick" is because the M1 is a upper RPM manifold. You lose a little low end torque w/it but you pick up a whole lot of upper RPM horsepower. You can also try a turtle w/your M1 if you want to get a little low end back.

No I did not grind the spacers down. I did not know that I had to. How far down do I have to grind them down??

You have to take them down about 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch. Might be less. Best way to measure is take the spacers out and push the rail in all the way. Measure and grind away!

Jim,

Grinding the fuel rail spacers will get rid of any hesitation you have just off idle, as fas as the low end the large turtle will do wonders. Then a set of 1.7 RR should but your low end higher than before.
