I have a 1993 dodge Dakota 4x4 automatic with a 318 V8 518 auto Trans.
1996 added headers, 3” cat back, mopar performance computer, k&n air filter.
2003 replaced it with a 5.9L mopar performance engine with RT cam, RT cast iron heads, huges stage1 TB, 19# ford motor sport injectors, accel coil & plug wires.
It seems to have a timing issue. On first startup it runs great for an about 15 to 20 min but has a low idle around 650 to 700 rpm. When it hits 160 to 180 degrees. Idling in park its ok. Idle drops to about 450 to 600 rpm. Put it in drive and it surges. Timing jumps up and down from 14 to 22 degrees all the sensors are going crazy and want to die. Turning on the accessories it gets worst. The longer it runs the worst it gets. I think it has about 350 to 370 hp and pcm can’t handle it. Stock it’s about 230 hp. Will a jet2 handle this or can you make a custom jet module. Maybe the cam is floating or timing belt jumped

What controller/pcm are you using?
Has a timing "chain"....no belts here.
(does Jesel make a belt set up??)
Take a close look at the battery and
all connections.
Vacuum?
