Do exhausts like flowmaster actually improve your performance or are they just for show and the great sound you get out of them. If they do help performance can someone tell me what a good one for a 1997 v6 is that will give a good deep noise but not so loud that I can always hear it over music, ect.
Thanks

I just got the Flowmaster 70 series, called the SUV series. Has a deep sound inside the truck and can hear it outside but no too loud. Perfect for me, I don't want it too loud either. As for performance I have only had it 2 days but I could feel a little difference. Then I added an intake from QuickD.com and the two of them together is awesome. Definitely worth it!

I have not made any mods to my 2001 V6 Dak', but from what I have read here and the V6 forums. New exhaust ALONE will not improve performance much. If you improve the intake, exhaust and install a supercharger I am sure you will notice a difference in performance. Just explore the forum and you will find the info you want. The same questions are asked time and time again.

Eddie,
I think you are looking for a Cuda style exhaust.
here is link to a group buy.
it might help you decide if that is what you are looking for and how much it will cost you.
