I spend quite a bit on gas now cuz its reaching 2$ a gallon. does anyone have any suggestions of anything i can do to get better gas milage? i have a cold air intake and tonneau cover. that helps a little. thanks guys

You should have got a 4.7 Dakota you could have used the money you would have saved on the r/t for gas.......

I am curious why would you buy an R/T if you are concerned about gas prices?

I'm sure you were well aware of what the expected mpg would be before you bought it. Guess you should have bought the 3.9!

Be glad you are not in Canada where a gallon is now over $4.00 Canadian per gallon.

Screw gas prices!! Life is short, enjoy it!! Sell the truck if it bothers you that much......this is not an economy truck. Like Curious said.....we're almost $4 a gallon here in Canada and I run premium for my B&G flash. I refuse to let this gas price scam(yes, it's a scam) change my lifestyle

i paid 79cents a litre for gas tonight thats cdn funds. thats 4litres(approx.) to a gallon that equals $3.16.....not $4.00cdn...although prices vary across canada so it could very well cost $4.00per/gallon. now convert($4.00) that to american funds(exchange rate $1 american =$1.60cdn)thats $1.65 american gallon..man took me so long to figure that out i forgot my point(takes swill of beer)....forget i'm here

You are definitely lucky guys. I often have to drive to Germany.

There the current price for 1L fuel is EURO 1.12! That is about $1.20 * 3.79L equals $4.55 per gallon!!!
Here in Switzerland it is about $1 less but anyway too expensive.

nice day

yeah, the gas prices are going down now! where i live, in Indiana, they r lowering. now they r around 1.50$ per gallon. thats pretty cheap. i'll just have to run my R/T easy until gas prices go down to $1.30.

oh yeah, one more thing, WHY WONT FRANCE SUPPORT THE U.S.(MY COUNTRY)? ISRAEL SUPPORTS US!!

Matt, you should put some skinny 14" tires on the truck (185/70-14) and you'll get some gas mileage back (~4-8mpg)
Of course you'd look like a dork with no taste, but what the hell...your saving $$$ on gas. ;)
