what is the best street slick for a dakota R/T and what size? thanks for your help. I don't want to mess up my stock (3.92) rear gear and want it to fit flush in the wheel wells.

What i would do is find some 15 inch take offs such as the spares and find a set of 28 inch tall slicks. The tire i run is a 265/65/15 McCreary Road Star its actually a Dirt Track Tire but its DOT Legal and is availible in a SOFT compound.

Grab some 15" stockers 15 x 8's and pick up some 28 x 11.5 x 15 Mickey Thompson ET Streets. Sam from Socal Dakotas is doing a group buy on them now. $150 a piece. Posted in the General Topic of this board.

Some guy is selling used stockers on Ebay for $25-$50 with cosmetic blemishes on them. Do a search on .alex. he bought some not too long ago.

If you want some to run ALL of the time, Nitto makes a good drag radial that gets 5-10,000 miles, and hooks pretty good. You can get them in a 275-40or45?-17. They handle much better in the rain than the BFG Drag radials.

Street Slicks, my preference BFG Drag Radials they have same compound as ET Streets but have a real tread pattern and a reduced tread depth and are still capable of 15,000 mi on properly driven daily driver. You might also try Nitto Street Extremes. I dont have Stock rims so I cant remember the size your going to need. My 315/35/17s hook well but your going to want somthing taller like 275/50/17.
