While merging onto the highway the other day an RT cut me off. So I got into the next lane and when we were side by side at about 25 mph we both hit it. To my delight I just pulled right away from him. I looked in my rear view mirror and he was like 3 lengths behind me. Looked at the speedo, and was doing about 80 mph so I let off. Looked again in the mirror everything was great. . . then poof, nothing but steam coming out the ass end of the truck. I had to pull over while this guy just cruised by laughing i'm sure. I would have been. But hey I won the race, and lost the battle. At first I thought I blew the head gasket. Somthing I was not looking forward to. So I popped the hood to and was greated to nothing but the sweet smell of antifreeze. Great At least it is not the gasket!!! I thought that a hose broke of came loose. Then to my horror and amasement I saw this crack through the water pump itself. Right through the reinforcing webbing!!!!! Never saw anything like it in my life. I was commuting to work and had to call my local tow company to come get me. I was 45 miles away. I could not believe my luck when my tow was only $90. Really I thought it was going to be like $200.

This was a replacement pump that i installed 6 months ago!!

Lesson Learned: never, ever under no circumstances buy a water pump from auto zone. Even if as in my case your local mopar dealer says it will take 1 week to get the part in. looking back i should have waited for the good pump. But Auto zone reluctantly gave me my money back and I went to the mopar shop and got a new one. They had them in stock this time. funny! If is does not com in a bottle do not buy if from auto crapper!

And no I did not use the N2O during this time. The bottle is not even filled now.
