hey kylour don't be a dick just because you've got a little four banger and you've discovered it will never sound like a V8!!!!!

Jim, I've got a dynomax race magnum with duals coming out behind each rear wheel, sounds real deep and throaty, even at idle, one of loudest and best sounding exhausts i've heard on a dak, I don't have any mpegs, and the ones i've found on this site with the race magnum don't even compare to what it actually sounds like.

I have had both the magnaflow and flowmaster mufflers. The magnaflow was the first. It was just a replacement for the factory muffler. I loved it. It was a littler louder at idle and cruising but really sounded great when you got on it. It was not loud enough for me though so i switched to the flowmaster cat back syatem.

I am also happy with this system although some people on this board have said they had problems with them. I have the delta flow system and again it sound a bit louder than stock and the magna flow at idle and cruising. but it is also louder when you open it up. It is not annoyingly loud when you are cruising at highway speeds like some systems i have heard. This was my major concern as i have quite a drive to and from work. The reverberations, did i spell that right, in the cab of some of the systems would kill me on my 1 hour drive. good luck and do not listen to some of the people on this board. They need to chill out and help each other out.

To kylour, just because it was posted before does not mean that all opinions were given. People are always learning them selves so they may have more info to give now than before. not to mention that new exhaust systes are always coming out. So you need to never post on this board again. Then again we may miss your ever so usefull info. DARN!

God my spelling sucks, how about a spell check on this board!

Good Luck

Nathaniel

Go with a high flow cat(carsound) and a flowmaster, i have a 40 series. Nice throaty tone but not obnoxious, until you step on it.

Me, i've got flowmaster 50 delta flow, dual pipes out the back. I also have the V6, which does make a different noise than a V8, but i love it. Sounds great at idle and in the upper rpm band. Around 2K rpm it sounds off, but thats cause i have the V6. My friend at school has the 4.7L with the same setup, and his truck sounds like a beast, absolutely perfect sound - especially when he floors it. I would say Flowmaster is the best option, but thats my opinion.

Oh, and the in-cab resonance isn't bad at all, a slight noise that you do hear when above 1700 rpm, but it is the good sound, not a bad one.
