Subject: Headers?
IP: Logged

Message:
I've got a '00 5.9L QuadCab and have: FastMan TB, AirAid cold air system, 3" cat-back and 2bbl M1.
I am looking at putting on a set of headers to build low-end torque.
I lost 66#' of torque with the M1, which hurts when I want to tow my trailer. So, I'm putting the 'beer-keg' back on and doing headers.
QUESTION:
Edelbrock TES, JBA, etc.? Anyone do a header install and back it up with dyno? My "ace mechanic" recommends the TES, claiming the long tubes will do better between 1500-2000 rpm than most others. (Edelbrock told me 25-30#' of TQ and ballpark same for HP, no one else I spoke with would make any claims or guesses-only "will run better").
INPUT, PLEASE!!!
Thanks,...Doc
[p.s. the FastMan prepped M1 will be for sale after the install. Screams from 3K rpm and up, but I am not into dragging any more.)
