Subject: 5.7 liter hemi torque curve?
IP: Logged

Message:
Does anyone know where to find the torque curve for the new Hemi? I called Chrysler and they keep quoting me the peak hp and torque numbers that I already know! Chrysler obviously dyno tested this motor so the numbers must be available somewhere!

Thanks!

I looked around for the curve myself a few weeks ago. A group of us were talking about it so I tried to find a graphic of the curve. I could only find some numbers, but no graphic on the curve. Hope you find it.

It's gotta be pretty fat...definitely better than the 4.7L curve, and probably better than the 5.9L stock curve as well.

When the hemi was first released on the 2500 series. The press release said it was over 300 ft-lbs at 1000 rpm, 325 ft-lbs at 1500 rpm, and peak 375 at 4200 rpm. Also based on 345 hp at 5400 rpm you know it's making 335 ft-lbs at 5400 rpm. With those 4 points I think you can get a pretty good estimate of a curve.
