LMAO! I hear the new RT's are gonna have nitro boosters with full adjustable differentialators. They should be makin like 6 or 700 hp at the wheels. They come factory with 28 inch chrome rims. The flux capacitor (which makes time travel possible) is an option.

Graphite, They could try and keep the next Dakota shorter, but still the next Durango is supposed to be over 4 inches wider then the current one. So no matter how short you try and keep the Dakota it will pick up a bunch of weight being 4 inches wider. Even going from the 96 style to the 97 style the Dakota picked up about 300 pounds on an otherwise similar truck. Right there should be the goal for Dodge, shave 300 pounds back off the Dakota, not add even more. Maybe if Dodge gets the balls and puts a 4.7 or a 5.7 in that new M-80, then we'll have something, although it may not be too easy on they eyes. Nobody here really knows, that dildo idea may may have some truth, although there ya go, more wieght.

Hersbird didn't Joe tell you that the next dak was going to be made out of N.E.R.F? That will cancel out any weight gains!

I have a friend that works for Dodge, and he said that we havent seen the new body yet for the Dak is because when they finished it, it was practically the same size and the new Ram, and Dodge started completely over with a new design. He said the front end will share traits with the new Durango, but it will NOT be built on the same platform. Also, the new SRT/10 Ram will probably be somewhere between $50k and $60k, if its that cheap. The Viper can run from $60k to about $90k for the newer 700hp models, and considering its a Viper engine, we should all expect to see that price range. I seriously doubt if you had the money to lay down for either a HEMI R/T Dak, or an SRT/10 Ram, youd take the R/T. I would take the SRT/10 just to say I have one. However, most of us cant afford that, and the $30k price tag of a pretty well equiped R/T is more within reach. I doubt Dodge will ignore the Dak R/T because they think they will lose sales from the SRT/10. Also, the SRT/10 is pretty limited production model. Dodge doesnt make but so many V10s a year, but I was told that they have the production set up to make well over 60k or so powerplants in the next 2 years. And just for those interested, Dodge is changing most of its other cars back to rear wheel drive, and most of those will see some size variant of the HEMI. I was told the Intrepid by name. If they can put a HEMI in the Stratus R/T, Ill be sold. We will just have to wait and see what happens, and hope for the best. Thanks for reading!

Well if the 04 r/t doesn't have high performance muffler bearings I don't think it will worth upgrading.

you dont need hi-po muffler bearings as long as you switch to synthetic blinker fluid when you get the truck.

I use helium instead of air. Lightens the truck up a lot. I was using hydrogen, but I had a tire explode in my last truck and it flipped me while doing 80mph. It was cool!

I am currently working on a 360 with gunpowder injection. I'll let you know how it turns out. I got the idea from the sandblasting incident, and plan to use gunpowder instead of sand. I am going to try it out tonight at the track. It should be quick!

Another option is to buy the 380 horsepower Magnum 360 crate engine from Mopar for about $3500. If you have a Mopar parts friend you can get for the engine for under 3K. Thats about the price of a supercharger and you get a more reliable/ longer lasting engine with 0 miles.

Just an option to think about. My friend put that crate engine into a Gen 2 dak and he kicks A$$ on the street all day long........
