I have a 1999 dakota club cab 4x4 5.2L V8 318. What size gears do I have and what should I get to try and get better gas mileage?

The only way to know for sure is to pull the cover and count the teeth. Or..If you feel it has not been touched from factory, crawl up under your truck and look at the little tag under one of the bolts on the cover.
If I had to guess, the little tag will probably say 3.5..
