OK, I have a friend who has a bmw z3 and all he does is talk crap about how slow my truck is. All I say is " Its kinda of hard to compare a truck to a car" by the way I have a stock 98 4x4 3.9l ext with a K&N air filter.What I dont get is why did I beat some army dude in his 360 ram so im thinking that I cant be that slow. Alright they say stock my truck will run 16.5 in the 1/4 mile.
If I put a 40 series cat back exhaust system on and JBA headers cold air intake a jet stage 2 chip and lessen the truck by a 100 lbs, also adding a v8 throttle body. Then what do you think I would do in the 1/4 mile? your opinion is very needed please give your advice too. Thank you

I hate to burst your bubble, but there is no way your truck even runs 16's in the quarter. I'd say you'd prolly be in the mid 17's. However, I think that it is very possible to get into the 16's with the stated mods.

especially with the 4x4 stock 16's is not gonna
happen. i have a 00 rc 2wd best run so far is a 16
flat (bad traction at line) mods include airaid
intake, jba headers, flowmaster 40 series, jba
wires, underdrive pullies, and a relocated iat. so
granted its not a 4x4 but that jsut mean i have
less weight so i hope this helps

Keep pluggin at it man, i have a 97 dakota 318 5 sp and my best time is 13.96 but that was with the stock 31X10.50's not the 33X12.50's i have on it now. Its really fun to see guys watch you pass em when your in a 4X4.
125 hp Nitrous, 5.5 Inch Lift, 33x12.50's .........etc. etc. etc.

I never ran the 1/4 mile, 16.5 is what they said at B&B performance center. Do you guys have a clue why I beat a ram 360? It was kind of funny actually, after we raced I pulled over and he and his other army dude freind asked me what do i got in there and I told him V6. lol his freind in the passenger seat laughed at his own friend saying how much his car sucks. oh well I was just wondering. ok gtg

My '03 4x4, 3.92LSD, 4.7L, 5sp auto ran 16.8 when it was bone stock... according to my gtech pro competition.
I guess we could prove your time by racing each other for pink slips.
