Well it looks like I'm finally going to have a little money to make my first performance upgrade on my Dak. I should have about $200-$400. I am curious what is going to give me the biggest bang for my buck? What single modification will give me the biggest power increase? K&N gen II? Exhaust? I want to eventually have a dual cat back and headers, can I do one now and the other later without having to undo it? Throttle body? If so which one would work best? Oh, I don't use paypal, is there an address I can mail my donation to, for upkeep of this website?

I would do the exhaust first. Even though you won't get the full bennifit of what this mod can do until you change the intake as well, it sounds great and fits your budget.

I did a flowmaster catback

Intake is probably best but my first mod will be a Gibson single 3" catback straight out the back.(Apparently way more effective than duals allthough not as nice looking as 2 pipes) That is what you will notice the most because of that sweet tune it plays.

So, if I put a dual cat back, will I be able to install headers later, without changing the exhaust again? If I do that, they wont be straight out the back, for towing purposes.

I was talking to someone last night, and they were telling me that a dual exhaust system could actually decrease my HP. He said it was because to the elevation in Colorado. I know that some systems will just make it sound nice. I want to be sure that if I spend the money, its going to increase power. Also, from my first post, what address can I send my donation to?

Ok i have it for you. We have a group buy right now for gibson exhaust.
Cost is 275.00 total(includes shipping)

Just go the group buys forum, then click the "1" under the current group buys. Thats it.

I would reccommend the single side exit. It gives the best horsepower and torque gains, and comes with a free tip(about 20-35 dollar value).

Email me with quesions

Thank you Jonas. Any plans for a K&N gen II group buy? If so, how specific would it be? I'm asking for my 98 5.2 and if we're going to get a good deal, I would probably want one for the vehicle we just purchased for my wife to drive. It's a 95 Taurus SHO. So, I would want to try and work both in.
