I have a 318 with the M1 intake and roller rockers. I had to remove the baffles in the valve covers to make room for the rockers. Now it seems that oil is splashing on the PCV valve and it is sucking the oil into the intake . Any one have any ideas on how I can stop it from sucking up the oil ?

Your best bet is to buy a set of Mopar Performance Valve Covers for your engine. The covers are taller than the ones from the factory so you can use baffles and roller rockers at the same time.

Otherwise your only option is to re-install the factory baffles and punch them down in certain spots to clear the aftermarket roller rockers.

Do you know the clearance between the rockers and the pcv valve? Or extend the inlet with a rubber adapter. You can find in the help section at your local Advanced Auto or Auto Zone. Also, check the Mopar Valve covers, maybe that might solve your problem and look great too. They go nicely with the M1, but I personal don't have them yet. Anyway you definately want to fix that before you carbon up your engine.Good Luck

daaaaaang!

why build a catch can? you will just have to empty it, and who says it will work right? just get some valve covers that clear and use the factory distilation system, its known to work.

Why did you install expensive roller rockers then jerry rig the covers? It would have been prudent to get the rockers and sit on them until you had cover that fit. Why do you think they put the baffles their???? If you try any high speed high G manuvers or take alot of curves you will have some serious problems with performance and fouling. The tops of your pistons will start to carbon up if you keep this up. At the bare minimum fabricate a baffle for that area. You can enclose the entire PCV valve area and just leave 1/8 inch gap at the top until you can fix it right also put a drain hole on one of the sides to let any oil drain out!! A catch can is just more jerry rigging and will look bad and may or may not solve the problem. You could also extend the PCV valve location up away from the valve cover but this is probably not going to help much with out the baffle in place! Surely someone makes some cheap stamped steel cover with additional clearance for less then $250 try JC Whitney or Parts stores!!!!

Hmmm.... lets see why I didn't buy the valve covers......... the shop I bought the rockers from said I didn't need the covers .. all I had to do was remover the baffles.. and the shop is promoted on HERE all the time . So dont jump my Shiat for following their suggestion.
