I have a 99 R/T that is going thru oil like crazy.
I sometimes have to put 1 quart in per 200 miles.
I have heard about the plenum gasket allowing it to burn oil. If I have a bad plenum gasket would that also cause pinging, because even if I run high octane I get pinging. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Yes, it can make your engine ping. You might try looking down your tb with a flashlight to see if there is any oil in the intake.

Most definitely the plate on the bottom of your intake manifold... Kill two birds with one stone, Replace your intake with a better one.

If I put a M1 manifold on it can I still pass DEQ emissions? Has anybody used the Mopar Performance Parts manifold? If so, how does it compare to the M1 manifold
