I don't know if anyone has tried this but I've been thinking of buying an 5.7 liter and replacing my 4.7 liter in my '03 dakota. If you look at the 1500 RAM it has the 5-45RFE tranny thats in mine. If I replace the PCM I don't think it would even know it's in a Dakota!. Any thoughts??

It would most likely work. Same tranny, same mount up, I dunno about engine mounts, but I'm sure Ram ones could be adapted.
