Hello, guys. How hard is it to install a Series 6 M.S.D. Ignition Box? How do you do it? My friends have had much trouble installing such on 1999 R/T Dakota. If i want to use their M.S.D. Timing Control Module, how do I install that?
Thanks, guys.

P.S., How/Why do you connect the M.S.D. to the battery? Wouldn't that drain the battery constantly? Also, wouldn't that keep the M.S.D. unit armed at all times? How/Why do you do it this way? Can't you just connect it into the power distribution box?

On my 94' the ignition just goes in series with the coil. Pretty much you find the wire going to the coil and put the ignition in line with it. As for power, I have it hooked to the battery. Yes it will constantly draw power, but your alternator should be easily able to compensate. Hope this helped, or maybe i'm not reading into it enough to see what the problom is

I have a 6A on my truck and it was very simple... for the battery, no it dosen't constantly drain it, only when it get's a signal from the dist... I wired it directly to the batt along with my amp, no probs at all... as for the actual wiring, it is very simple, you just cut the two small wires coming from the coil and connect one end to two of the MSD wires, and the other two to the other two MSD wires... sorry don't remember which colors go where... I belive there is a simple plug in adaptor for the dodge trucks now...
