Just a quick question. Between Comp, Crower and Hughes which roller rockers are best? Which ones do most of you use? Also what is the difference and which is better between Aluminum or Steel ones?

Just one more quick thing. I dont want to pay a lot for them so where is the best place to buy them.

Thanks A Lot!
Eric

I don't have any experience with rockers, but aluminum is lighter than steel. It may not seem like a big difference but when your engine has to move the each rocker up and down some 40 times a second, a little weight savings can reduce the amount of energy your engine spends on the rockers and send it to your rear wheels.

Buy steel!

No flex, more durable, and last much longer that aluminum.

Get 1.7 ratio for more lift! More power
Get 1.6 ratio if you might replace the cam with something bigger.

I think crower might be your only option when wanting steel.

Southwest R/T has non-adjustable roller rockers, less headache when installing and maintaing them.

I just ordered a set of Harland Sharp aluminum 1.7 RR's for my 2002 R/T and should be here today or tomorrow. I got them from John Mercedes at SoutheastRT. He helped design them and sells them for about $100 under the list price to folks on this board. I got mine shipping included for $300 bucks. He also designed them as "non-adjustable" so there is no timing to consider or putting them on in firing order, just rip the stock arms off and replace with the true billet aluminum needle bearing roller rockers. I will keep you posted on the install and any gains that I can notice.

How can you get a hold of John Mercedes at Southeast RT? Does he have a website? Looking for 1.7 RR's for my 93 3.9 Dakota, I want some more towing power.
