Okay i think taht this is a stretch but I will ask anyway! A friend of mine has a Procharger with intercooler and all installation hardware for sale. The only problem is that the blower came off of a Carburated 454 for a BOAT! Is there any possible way to rig this to my 02 R/T? He only wants 1000 dollars for it so i thought if maybe i could at least use the blower and intercooler and buy a mounting kit of some kind. Any help would be great. Thanx

I don't think you could buy a mounting kit but it could be used on your truck if you have a shop fab up one for you.

Matt, anything is possible. I'm assuming you found a "roots" type blower? This will require an extensive amount of fabricating. The intake is the area of concern. A competent speed shop could be able to do it. They could probably weld one up for you around a thousand dollars. Then you will need to rerout the drive belt. That would be the part I would have trouble with. Belts don't come in any length. I deal with belts of this type every day and I constantly have problems finding belts the right length. You need some one with a little experiance in this area. To reconfigure your belt routing, make the idlers and mount them, and spec out the belt you need will probably run another $1,000.00. Your still under the 5K everyone else is spending on superchargers and you will have the real thing. I think you should go for it. After you get this done you could always start your own web page and sell it. Oh, there may be a hood clearance problem, but I think you will be alright. It all depends on which blower you have and how good the speed shop is at making the low profile intake.

Thanx for the info guys. Im sure I could find a dealer around town that would be able to construct something but if I am going to pay about 5K to purchase and install everything, wouldnt I just be better of buying the Vortech kit from marty at KRC for 3300? I mean we know that fits. Is the ProCharger and Intercooler that much better to work with? Thanx again
