We've added a V6 to V8 conversion kit. Install a V8 TB on your 97-00 V6 without having to grind, cut, modify the linkage to fit. (Uses the Chrysler V8 Throttle Cable.)

Hey Bernd,

What are the intakes going to look like for the daks? I either might buy one or make my own, I was curious how far the filter will be from the motor.

Hehehehe...Hey Eddie, you're getting excited I can tell...four posts at once? ;)

Marty should have a box at the shop waiting for you. If he doesn't, i'll ship one out to him on Monday via overnight. (I'll call him on Monday AM to dbl-check.)

On the $190 for the factory TB and cable, it was a mistake that was corrected...my bad. :( (Refresh your browser and you'll see the correct price.)

They don't seem to affect the emissions output at all and MPG hasn't been affected either (with normal driving). Most people do show a loss in MPG at first due to the "Fun-Factor". The Fun-Factor is this: You get a new modifications, install it, and floor it around town to see how much better it runs. Your MPG goes down because of this.

Best thing to do after the initial install...reset the PCM, drive it like you normally do.

The TB's themselves look identical, smell identical, function identical, and the only difference visually is the throttle linkage connector and the actual bire-size/blades. What do the smog nazi's look at? The outside...not the bores...and even then they wouldn't be able to tell without physically measuing the bores or checking the number on the throttle blades.

Bernd,
I want a TB bad! Too many choices though. I want the Flowmetrics 48mm but money is an issue. I thought I might sell my core to Hughes Engines but they only want V8 stuff. (I have 2000 V6). What is the difference between the Fastman 46mm and 48mm? (Besides the obvious!) Will it bog down at low end if I put the 48mm on. I have an Airaid and a Flowmaster now. In the future I want to add all the other goodies you suggest. Minus the blower and nitrous:) It's just easier to slip $270 past my wife than it is $420.

For the budget minded, the Fastman works very well. If you want every little bit out of the engine and the exotic looks as well, Flometrics.

The Fastman uses a thinned shaft, brass blades, and a "cleanup" on the bores. The 48mm Factory V8 TB is just that...factory - no mods. The Flometrics 48mm uses not only a thinned shaft, steel blades, clear anodized body, but also a redesigned IAC port and ball bearings for the actual shaft bearings (and they're sealed as well). Designed from the groud up on a computer and flowbench.

No, it won't bog down at all. With a 50mm, it may without some other mods to help it along...but not the 46 or 48mm TB's.

Is 48mm as big as I should go with heads, cam, manifold, 19# injectors, chip, headers, and ignition? Or is that overkill? (I know what your going to say but I'm asking anyway.) Since I'm living in England and plan on being here another 4 1/2 years, I am only interested in speed. I'm tired of little 2.0's that can outrun me. Although they do have to catch me first since I have so much more torque than they do. Anyways, I want it driveable at low speeds but I really want to fly. (I did 110mph yesterday chasing a Golf!)
