Subject: how restrictive is a cat ?

Message:
I have a 99 R/T and bought a catco dual-in single out high-flow cat. Would it make a difference is it was gutted ? If so , how much ? Anyone dyno test it with and without ?

BTW , after I had it put on , I got real bad "drone". Way too loud in the cab.

Keep your high flow cat. You wont see any power gain if you gutted it. The drone would increase and it would have a clattering sound under the truck. Only time I would recommend gutting a cat is, if your short on cash and your cat is clogged or you need more exhaust flow because your revving your engine past 6k on your super modded truck :)
