Subject: IAT relocation?

Message:
I have a 2003 4.7 dakota. i recently put a 2000-2001 K&n FIPK. because they dont make a kit for the 02/03 and i didnt want to wait. everthing was the same but there is a sensor just before the throttle body that has a wire pluggd into it. Im guessing this is the IAT?? what can i do. any tips on finding some directions on where to relocate this sensor? the cable is pretty short. and the K&N directions say nothing about this sensor. Thanks in advance.

Oh ya and that sensor was on the drivers side mounted in the air resonator just before the TB, like i said. It has a small blue tip on the end of the sensor.

Just drill into your new intake and put the sensor there...it used to be in the manifod before DC 'fixed' it.

Locate it as far from the TB as you can without needing to add wire...that way it will register the coolest air possible.

Hope this helps!

How about of a 2002 4.7? The IAT sensor is a snap-in type plug instead of a screw in one, how do I get it to stay in my intake tube? Anyone done this? Any pics? I thought of just ordering a second one to fill the hole in the intake manifold, the problem is just getting the IAT to lock into the intake tube...
