I have a 01 4.7 4x4...I have the death flash
and I was wondering if a 2002 CPU will work
in my 2001. I have found a 2002 4.7 in a local junk yard that was flipped but anyway will it work
on my 2001. I know that a 2000 4.7 cpu won't work
or will it..If anybody can tell me what will work
and what year or years will work for me cause that
death flash sucks killed my gas mileage and lost
too much power..Also will the cpu out of a 2001 or
2002 durango 4.7L work...any body who knows please
help me thanks
also I have a buddy that has a venom 400 control
module he wants 150 dollars for it anybody think
it would help out the ol 4.7 out or not I have
a JetII it help a little but not worth 250dollars
I called venom and they said it would work well w
with the JetII.... any replies helps thanks

MY01 and 02 PCMs are essentially the same. Only if the PCM you're looking at hasn't had that update would it do any good. Save your bucks and get a real flash form K/B or B&G if available.

You will get a check enine light because the vin won't match.

4.7 HO, CW style
2001 4.7 5sp 3.92 LSD
Ported 68mm TB, IAT adjuster, 3" flowmaster cat back, TPS @ .76V, 4" Z-tube, Roadmaster active suspention, Removed Third cat, Electric fan Convertion, HO cams, Robert shaw 180 therm, HO intake manifold.
