This may seem redundent, but I have searched for a few weeks, and still havn't decided. "Nitrous Steves" seems to be a good set up, but I was wondering if anyone has experimented with plastic elctrical conduit (grey) as opposed to ABS, or metal. I have a 2002 4.7, with only the pcv line to attach somehow, but it shouldn't be a big deal. Any comments? Thanks

The A.B.S. has a higher melting temp , than the gray P.V.C. I work for an electrical contractor , and sometimes we (not to code hehe) we will heat up the p.v.c in the tail pipe of the vans in order to bend it.

Electrical contractors use heaters made for the conduit to make bends. In commercial constuction they are used to bend up to 6" conduit. I would not use it under the hood.

We heat up the P.V.C just enough to soften it up , lol. We don't let it burn!!! It does not even smoke. I'm only talkin sizes up to 1 inch. And when you have to get the job done , and the nearest P.V.C HotBox is two counties away , it works well enough for something that is gonna get buried anyway.
Anyway , what the heck led you to belive I was smart? lol.

Well I guess I should be dead..........

After 20+ years in the plumbing and mechanical business we have heated PVC pipe for bending, cutting and all kinds of jack leg things to make something work. I have been around burning and melting PVC (only a little at a time) and have not seen any ill effects on anyone. Where did this Mustard Gas talk come from...?
