My family has one of thoughs pellet stoves, and i put a ton of pellets in bed of my 2001 dakota cc with next to no probs except for it sit it down pretty good, but as for the pulling the weight i really didn't hardly know it was back there but it is a bigger motor 4.7. and in the warm seasons i pull my old car and truck to the races the truck weights about 4700 pounds with the 454 bbc and the trailer i dont really know but its i heavy duty trailer, again pulls with no problems.I think your should pull some wieght it is a pretty good motor it 3.9 is.

I don't know what the "limit" is but somebody at the factory forgot to tell my 95 extcab that it's not a full size. I pull a 20ft. gooseneck trailer with mine.

It also depends on the terrain. I live in the Sierra Nevada foothills, so I couldn't get away with nearly as much weight as someone in the valley area.

I think "sports models" means R/T-like. A truck designed for street performance. The "Sport" model for Dakotas only refers to a difference in option packages and badging. The capabilities of the SLT and the Sport are identical, when similarly equipped.
