Ahh a nitrous guy. IO have a question. I was thinking about putting a wet type system on my 4.7L. Other than the kit and the plumbing, how big of an issue do you feel fuel delivery would be with a 75 shot?

Anyone have a white or chrome grille for sale?

Honestly, Non.

You are running a wet system. Start with the smallest shot and work your way up from there. If you are running lean put a bigger fuel pill in the fuel side of the nozzle. Always run colder plugs and gap them at 38 or 40. And you should be fine. Just make sure your nozzle isnt in the direct flow of the nitrous for 6 inchs or you will puddle.

The key to nitrous is start with the smallest setting and work your way up. See what your truck likes and doesnt like. Dont jsut slap on the 75 shot or so forth. That is how people pop there engines. They go full out and dont know the saftey percautions for there system.

Best thing to do is get you a wet import kit. Or the kit with the small pill settings for dakota. Start out with a 35 shot and see how the truck likes it. You should be able to get it to a 50 shot or so. A wet single nozzle setup shoul work fine.

what would be a good system to start with
on my 3.9L with like 80k miles on it. Or does my engine have to miles on it to add that.

What are the long term negitive effects of
nitrous, wet or dry.

I was thinking of a sneaky pete setup
with a bigger shot.

now you know thats..................

Same thing as the last guy. Always run wet. A sneaky pete is good up to 35 hp. Unless you drill out the pill or dont use one. For a safe route use a good wet Nitrous Express kit and start out small. Miles dont really mean anything. Now if your truck is blowing smoke out the back and its ready to kill over, dont put nitrous on it.

You knoe if your truck can handle it. If it runs cool and doesnt run like crap. Put it on, i have seen 150,000 cars running juice. It can actually clean up your combustion chambers and so forht in some cases.

Remeber you know your truck better then anyone. If you think it can handle 35 more hp at the push of a button go for it, and start small. Work your way up to a good level and do go nuts with the button.

Wet is safer and more adjustable. Reason being if your running lean, you can add a bigger pill in the fuel side. Acts as another injector in thoery. Dry is only adjustable with bigger injectors and fuel system adjustments. When i ran the 100 shot dry on my truck i ran octane booster. To slow the burn a little and cool off the combustion cahmber temps. And always run colder plugs.
