I recently was quoted a price of $600 for a 2.5" cat-back system, with 60% stainless pipes, a flowmaster single in dual out and 15" 2.5-3.5" 100% polished stainless tips straight out the back. Is this a little steep in price? Also, instead of the flowmaster I had the option of a Y-pipe with dual turbo pack mufflers instead. I think the flowmaster is a better choice.

I have a single 3" cat back flowmaster with a stainless tip. $300 all said and done at meineke, took about an hour.

I also have the 3" Flowmaster kit. $189 from a local retailer for the kit (cat ext. pipe, 40 series muffler 2.5" in, 3" out, and the tailpipe), plus $50 for a stainless 3" angle cut tip. I like the sound, but Michigan really calls for stainless piping. I'm thinking of a custom mandrel bent system that shortens the pipe between the cat and muffler. Stainless 2.5" borla or spintek muffler. I'd like to have it dump out with a 3" megaphone style tip that exits about 1 ft in front of the rear tire, pointed out towards the side of the truck. (can you say run-on sentence?) Estimates ranged from $parts+a case of MGD at a friends shop, up to $900 from a custom truck shop in the area. I guess only time will tell. See ya, good luck.

i have all stainless cat-back with 26" tips duel out and only cost me 400.

Yeah yer gettin taken if you take that deal. Pretty much every exhaust manufacturer sells their 100% S.S. cat-backs for under $600.

Remember this is duals straight back which requires the brake line to be relocated on the drivers side and the price also includes installation hours.

single in dual out 40 series flow master. 3 1/2 inch rolled under tips. 320 installed and out the door. included muffler, piping and tips and all install.
