What exactly would have to be done to make this possible? Would the wiring and all hookups connect?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you already have a 318,it's pretty straightforward. You need a 360 flexplate if you have an auto tranny or a 360 flywheel if you have a manual tranny. You should get (but don't have to get) a 360 computer. That's about it. Make sure the 360 you get has a damper on it, because that is also different than a 318.

All of the above applies if you have a V6 to start, plus you will need a V8 wiring harness. You could splice your old one but I wouldn't recommend it. The downside to swapping a V6 for a 360 is that the tranny might not take the power from the 360 for very long.

I'm currently building a 408 (stroked 360) to swap out for the 318 in my '95.

b1llyw,
Glad to hear about the wiring, I was about to start researching that for my swap. Are you doing your own stroker, or do you have a shop that knows Mopar?

Somewhere in between. Marty at KRC Performance built me a 408 for my 2000 Ram. I even drove to Florida and had him install it. The truck was totalled in a fire last February (yeah, I know, major bummer).

I bought it back, parted it out, and kept the motor. Now I'm having a local shop rebuild it and I'm installing the motor in a '95 Dak I picked up. Should be done by spring.
