Apologize if this question has been asked and already beaten to death, don't see too much on it in past posts re: Quad Cab 4.7 exhausts.

Thinking of going with one Flowmaster Delta Series 50 muffler with dual outs, and taking that to a local muffler shop to make me a true dual exhaust system while keeping the spare tire intact.

Due to the bending that will be needed on the driver side to match the pax side re: exiting the tail pipes, what will those driver side bends (mandrel) do to back pressure (more or less) and low end torque (more or less)...I believe some folks say they loose no low end torque with the 4.7 and dual pipes from the cat back, with a single muffler.

I'm trying to get both form (great looks of a dual rear exhaust) and function (most HP/Torque gains) and was wondering if this 'dual' system gives this over a single side exhaust, with both setups using 3 inch pipe.

Thanks!

(I do know of one good experience with the above)

I got a dynomax superturbo single inlet with dual outlet and I noticed a small amount of low end torque missing. Just remember that after doing anything you need to reset the PCM. I noticed a larger gain after I reset the PCM than before. I just got the Jet stage II and Air raid cold air intake. I will let everyone know how it turns out.

I've seen posts saying I should go with 2.5 inch pipes if I'm gonna use a dual out muffler, or one 3 inch pipe if single out muffler, in order not to lose low-end torque.

I'm waiting on my muffler guy to call back with his knowledge and experience re: the above and his thoughts on the flomaster delta series 50 -vs- the gibson...I want HP/TQ gains first, then quiet in the cab, then cost, re: priorities.

Re: the Airaid, did your system come with it's own airbox and/or do you use the stock tubing and airhat?

Thanks...

You can look at this link and it will show you exactly what it looks like. It uses the stock bottom and kind of seals the top with the hood.
I must say that after the two new mods (airaid and jet stage II) I have noticed a significant difference in performance. Especially between the 30-60 zone. Throttle response is also a lot better. These installs took less than 15 minutes and I am not too mechanically gifted. It seems to me that it changed the tone of the exhaust a little as well. Sounds MEANER now. heheheh!
