went a few fridays ago to the track in Edinburg, Tx. my first run there was a 16.8, then a 16.3, i went home satisfied. That was with a 180 stat, homemade ram air setup, and the IAT sensor relocated. Now, i changed my intake, I got a cold air setup made outa 3 inch PVC pipe with a K&N in the fenderwell, and i also put a Magnaflow exhast single in dual out, no pipes after the muffler. Friday night I let my friend make the first run, 17.6....WTF!!?!?! that isnt right, the truck felt pretty strong that week, so I ran it against a lightning, (of course i lost) but i ran a 15.885 @ 85.03mph, i finaly broke 15's , then i ran again agaist a RX7, smoked him with a 15.938 @ 85.16mph. My next step is headers, im a poor college student, so money is tight, any thoughts???? thanx, Eric

i have the same mods and i managed a 15.4 @88mph. i have a 95 dakota with a 5.2, maybe the only thing i have maybe as an advantage is a little less weight then urs.

Hate to bust your balls or ball,
but my v-sixer run 16.8 on a bad day with 87 octane. I admit it ran a 17.8 stock but you should try to get some octane booster and try racing with only a 1/4 tank. Take off some weight for the track, spare tire, tail gate, and speaker boxes.
i duno if it helps but i usaly wax the truck before i run it.
I dont run it any more since its got like 80k and is only getting slower with time.
now you know thats..................

not to make you feel any worse, but my 95 v6x-cab auto runs high 14's
