Just a reminder that this group buy is still underway, and expires on 12/1/02.
The McCord Power Plate is an electric exhaust cutout. Exhaust cutouts have been used at the track for many years to vent exhaust gases after the X/Y Pipe in an exhaust system, circumenting the restrictive muffler and catalytic converter, providing more top-end breathing and horsepower. However, crawling under your vehicle to un-cap a manual exhaust cutout can become tiresome. The McCord Power Plate allows you to open or close the cutout from inside the vehicle whenever you choose. In addition, you can partially open/close the cutout whenever you want to suit your performance needs (when completely open, the cutout increases breathing for higher-rpm horsepower but may reduce low-end torque).
Imagine pulling up to one of those fart-can ricers and letting them know what a real engine sounds like? (This device is not legal for use on the streets but puhleeze, who wouldn't crack this open once in awhile to school some wanna-be's? That's why the electric cutout is such a fun gadget, open/close it whenever you want from inside the truck!)
The McCord Power Plate is only available directly from the manufacturer, and the only way to save money on this product is to purchase it through this group buy. It is available in 2.5" and 3" configurations. Can be used with any stock or aftermarket exhaust system. True dual exhaust users will need to purchase a dual PowerPlate (two cutouts controlled by one switch). This group buy is for the electric cutout plate only, you will need to purchase some sort of cutout pipe to be grafted into your exhaust system by a qualified muffler shop. These pipes are very inexpensive (typically less than $30), but since there are an infinite number of exhaust combinations it is not included with this group buy.
Depending on various quantities the discount keeps dropping further and further, with 20+ cutouts receiving the maximum discount. There are already 14 confirmed orders for this group buy, which puts us at a price break very close to the best price possible.
You do not need to pay a single penny until this group buy is complete. All orders are being submitted to and processed by the manufacturer of this product with no middlemen whatsoever (I'm just the pitch man trying to save some bucks on one of these like everyone else, I'm #1 of 14 on the list).
