I've gotten alot of emails lately and have seen some posts about makeing a mil eliminator for either removing the catalitic convertor or gutting the precats. first off I'd like to say I do not aprove of removeing a catalitic convertor on a street driven vehicles, and I am in no way responsible for the actions you take to your vehicle or any reprebution you receive if you drive a street driven vehicle with no catalitic converters.
building a mil eliminator for a dakota is very simple you need a 650k resistor and a 1mfg capacitor both of these can be found at your local radio shack for like $4.00.
the link below is were I found this information with alot of trial and error I had a set like the ones in this link on my 98 svt contour so I could run gutted precats. and I had them on that car for about six months with no problems.

I have one of these on my single cat 4.7l and have had it on my truck for almost a year now with no problems. I know of one other person that uses one on a v6 I beleive 99 and hae has had no problems.
also previously it was stated that I should build these and sell them for $7.00 includes shipping if anyone wants me to go this route let me know and if people want me to do it(since I have built about 30 of these) let me know at my email.
