Well I'm getting a TB from F&B but not sure which one I should get. I was originally going to get just the 50mm, but then thought about the 52mm, then saw they make a 52x55mm. I currently have a 5.2 with a homemade CAI, headers and straight pipes, Jet stage 2 chip and a NX kit. I plan to put ported/polished R/T heads with 1.7 roller rockers and M1 intake with extra large turtle on in the near future. After the motor takes a dump I'm gonna bore/stroke it out and put a high lift cam.

Go 50mm and you will be happy. Plain and simple, the 52 is way to big without everything done to your motor. ie cam heads rockers intake PCM gears, transmission. Once all is done you can then step up to 52mm, or put charger on and you can run the 52MM.

I know this from experience on my 98 5.2

I recommend the 50mm as well. 52mm is too big for the 5.2 with your mods, and the 52x55 is an oval bore for the 408 stroker, if I'm not mistaken.

50mm is the way to go--

We've got bigger than 55x52s... but that's another story... hehe...

Sorry, wasn't clear on this. The TB will go on at the same time as the worked R/T heads, with the 1.7 RR and the M1. It's not going on the motor the way it is now. Before all this goies on I'll be putting a shift kit and converter in the tranny too. After the motor takes a dump I will have a 408 stroker but until then the 52x55 seems quite out of the question.

I would still recommend the 50mm. The usual rule of thumb is to gain/ maintain low end without sacrificing top end is to use the 50mm. If you can sacrifice some low to mid range power and won't to gain alot on the upper, go with the 52mm.

I have the 52MM Holley and I hated it before the 2.02 heads ( Fully ported and polished ) and the Cam (.510/.510).

go with the 52mm, but make sure you use the m1 intake. the stock intake is great for low end but thats it. above 4000-4500rpm it is totally bottle necked. i would recomend a higher stall converter after the mods, because the stocker would stall out to low for the new powerband. definetly upgrade your tranny: bigger cooler. the reason for all this is to compliment your pacage. i found that the magnum motors need a lot of help with airflow. in and out.
