JE pistons are best, most deffenatly change your rods to steel rods, dont know much bout n20 solinoids but if there anything like anyother solinoind check your electrical connections and if it still dont work replace the solinoind pardon the spelling.

As far as the selenoid goes can't help ya there.
But on the pistons KRC sells the Ross Forged Lightweight pistons, they're supposed to be top of the line. Or JE Pistons are good too. Don't see why you should replace the connecting rods but if you just want to...Eagle connecting rods.

Get a solenoid rebuild kit. Sounds like you
have a blockage of some sort. Doesnt sound
liek the coil is ruined yet (bc its still clicking)
but it prob wouldnt hurt to put a new one in
there. During the rebuild youll probably find the
blockage.

For the solenoid try putting a metal tipped screwdriver over the end of it, when energized you should feel the solenoig pull in the screwdriver.

Okay, now I can answer something about solenoids (though my problems usually involve leaking ones instead of not actuating)

There's 3 things that can be going on:
The plunger is siezing up before it can fully actuate
The coil has weakened and can't actuate the valve body
The valve body has been clogged

My money's on door #3. Usually if it seizes there'll be no clicking. Coils going weak isn't common.

Do you have a filter inline with the solenoid, and have you verified that pressure is getting to the solenoid? Have you verified that there isn't a blockage after the solenoid? Try taking it off, and use some compressed air to blow through it, first in the normal direction, and if that doesn't work try the reverse to blow the blockage out.

well, i took out the solenoid, checked the tiny little spring, blew air through all the lines, its not blocked...i dont know what im doing wrong...my money would have to be on heat damage now, as the solenoid sits about 4" above the valve cover....any opinions on that???

Is this solenoid for your fuel line or N2O line? If it is not spraying for the fuel line you make have a valve sticking on your shrader valve, or if it is for the N2O you might not have any pressure left in the bottle, open the bottle and see if anything sprays out. Plus just look at the jets and see if they are spraying when you have the system activated. How many HP are you running in that thing?

it was the fuel solenoid, i finally gave up on it, rewired all the switches (coincidently this all occured at the same time), had 450-500psi in the n20 bottle, checked the schrader valve and the pressure on the feed line to the solenoid, all checked out fine...finally i just pulled the lines out from the motor so when they 'sprayed' they would just spray into a catch can...turns out it was working all along...just sounded different...mustve twisted the fogger noooozzle or something.
cost for new relay:$20
cost for new solenoid:$68
spending 5+ hours on something that isnt even broken because of my own stupidity:priceless.
