Hey guys, I have a 2000 Dak V6 and it has about come to he time for me to do some work to it. There is a small list of stuff that I want to do persormance wise and my friend (a ford man)is convinced that it is not going to make a diffrence at all. I'm starting to think that he would just be jelious, but heres what I want to do:
Jet throtle body spacer, intake, underdrive pully, roller rockers 1.6 or 1.7 (not sure about), JAB headers, Flowmaster exhause, and plugs and wires

Now someone tell me that that is not going to make a diffrence. Thanks for your time

Spacer: Junk

Intake: good

UnderDrive Pully: good

Crower 1.7 RR's: good 2500+ rpm

Headers: Not a big help for the V6, remember it already has the same pipe & muffler as the V8's

Muffler: good, something full flow, again Cat-Back not needed.

Plugs & Wires: Only if your do for a tune up

Something you didn't post was a Throttle Body !!!

A V8 TB or F&B 48mm will be the best money you can spend for the V6

Thanks dude, for the throttle body how would I go about getting it and what else would I need to get to make it work. I think I have read stuff about needing to get the cables for the v8 throttle body.

And real quick, about the muffler, I already have a 50 series sitting in my basement so I have no need to buy one. If I understand what your saying is that since I already have 2 1/2 inch pipe and the muffler id 2 1/2 in inlet and outlit that I should just get a muffler swap?

It's basically a bolt-on at least for the F&B 48mm it doesn't require a cable change and it doesn't have any TQ step in the bore. If you want the Mopar part# for a new factory V8 TB it's in my profile the cable is # 53031556AB that TB has a TQ step in the bore, this gives a slight hesitation on take off, Your V6 TB has it also, if you were on a budget you could just port your stock TB, But if money is not a problem I would go with the F&B from what I know now about the TQ step, I have ported my V8 TB
You can check my Gallery at Truck World

You can get the F&B TB for Sam at he also has Crower RR's

Muffler swap:

That is just what I did swap out the factory muffler for my DynoMax, works great you can go to AutoZone they sell a section of tail pipe that is about 15-18" long that is 2.5" in & 2.5" out that should make up any difference your FlowMaster lacks

There is a Member (Deeppurple) that has a setup like what your talking about, he cut the front of the air box out and run some 3 or 4" duct out the grill for cold air works great.
Your Butt isn't going to feel much out of just a Intake and Muffler, they will help your truck breath better, your just not talking about a BIG difference in HP yet !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
