Alright, I am going tlo setup, what I hope to be, an accurate Dakota/Durango 1/4 mile database on dakota-durango.com. Now, this will be partly on the honor system, so I BEG you guys, just don't send any BS! If it's clear BS, it won't be posted. If it's kinda BSy I'll need some proof before it's posted. Now, this is not just for R/Ts, 3rd Gens, V8, V6s or anything, this is ALL trucks with the Dakota or Durango badge on them!

Now, yes there will be competitionl. To fuel the friendly brotherly competition, I will be seperating into categories such as all out Drag Trucks, V6 and V8s, etc. Yes, the R/Ts will be mxied in with the other V8s, so come on 4.7s and 318s, show the R/Ters you can hang with less cubes. :)

Just submit any of the following data you have to dapurplert@dakota-durango.com :

Your full name
Your location
Your truck setup (RC, CC, V8, tranny, color, etc)
Modifications - Please seperate into performance and others)
1/4 and 1/8 times
0-60 times (GTECH is ok for this one. These times will not be competing, just added in as extra. No GTECH times for the 1/4! No corrected times either! Just flat what's on your timeslip!)
A scan or pic of the timeslip.
Any video or pictures of the run
Send any pictures you want up with it, especially pics from the strip.
ANy comments you want
and Your internet callname. This is how your net buddies can know it's you.

Also, if anyone wants to help with this, especially compiling it into a database via SQL or whatever, please e-mail me! You will be credited for your work and if you help with the database you'll be given access to help keep it up to date.

Start submitting people!

Please tell me you are not the same DaPurpleRT that used to post on the MoparChat, Lightning boards, ect!! Oh wait...you are! You signed your name...Ryan!! I (and several others) have been trying forever to get you to post a timeslip or video of your claimed 1/4 mile track times and you always have some sorry excuse for not posting anything.

Guys go over to Moparchat.com and do a search for DaPurpleRT in the user section, and look at some of the crap this boy posts. I can't beleive this guy! I may even go find one or two threads and bring them back to the top, where we beg for him to post a timeslip or video that he has. He states he has both and will post them, but never does. This way you don't even have to search. Just look in the Dakota section. Maybe now he'll actually post a slip or video there, but I doubt it.

Now you come on here asking for everyone's times, and say if it sounds "BSy" you'll need proof. Paaalease!! You truely are a little troll. Guys don't waste your time with this idiot and his sad ideas.

Try this:

http://www.moparchat.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=55568

Or it's under the thread titled "Can I Beat a RT" in the Dakota section at Moparchat.com

Sorry Ryan...but you of all people got no right asking for slips, videos, or pictures to proove 1/4 mile times when you won't do it yourself!

ALso, I'm about to give up here on the Dakota crowd. I am just trying to help getting this database setup, just like other thing I've helped with on the dakota-durango site. I have NO alterior motive.

What do I get for it? Called a "loser" and a "liar". Well, Im not, believe me or not. With a blown BP gasket (just started leaking, not too bad yet) I ran 14.51 in the 1/4 with the following mods:

MP PCM
Jet Stage II Chip piggybacked
Nitto 450s
K&N Gen II
F&B 52MM TB
Mopar headers
Catco Hi-flow cat
Underdrive pullies
180 TStat
IAT relocation

Is that REALLY so unbelievable? Sorry I lost the slip or that my Quicklcip USB isn't compatible with my OS. I'm not perfect, so bite me if ya have a problem with that!

I put my sweat and blood into this thing (just got done installing an M1 and MSD Ignition, took me and my friends along time since we're only 18-19 and never installed an intake before, but we damn well got it done) and I have to come on here and read some obsessed @sshole tell everyone I'm a loser because of things I can't control (lost slip, SW incompatability). Anyone here want to come to my home and watch the video? Or, if someone wants to pay insured shipping both way, I cans end you the miniDV tape, you can capture the video, and send it back to me, but I do want it back!

This is jus so angering! Anyone want a nice 99 R/T?

Will this database be updatable? My truck runs 15.2 now, but won't for ever :-)
Thanks for putting this database together! It will be nice to have one place to compare, so we 4.7 guys can finally prove we have better motors :-) j/k
Anyway, you'll have mail from me pretty soon.

I have to agree with Signman.

You keep claiming with your stock truck you ran 14's.

Now you claim with all those mods you ran a 14.5?????

Not saying that your are lying but it does sound kinda weird. Maybe you should buy some slicks.

Hey,

Mopar Mag ran a 14.9 with a stock yellow R/T. I can't remember which issue, but it was done in Florida heat(I think it was Florida). High 14s for a stock single cab isn't out of the question.

regardless of all the drama this is a great idea, I just picked up my 2k r/t cc and haven't been able to even think about upgrades. I have a wife and child so mods will get NO LOVE in the ol' budget heh so something like this would be a potent way to make educated buys. Anyhow, hopefully we can see this thing through. DaPurpleRT, I just shot you an email.

Why don't we just get something going in here guys. I have a gen 1 truck that had a 2.2L 5 speed. It was such a dog that at 150.000 I pulled the drive train and stuck a 30 over 360cu in w/10'1 speed pro pistons-windage tray-hv oil pump- 484-284 purple shaft cam- double roller timing chain-600 cfm holly-alum intake. Trans is a 727 auto w/reverse man valve body. Rearend is a 8 3/4 unit w/355 suregrip. I made 2 TT'S at dragway 42 in west salem ohio in the old beater and the first run spun like I was in ice 16 something.I was dissapointed. The next run I lowered the rear tire press to 19-20 lbs and ran a 14.269 @ 95.78 MPH.Still spun but a lot better time. My goal is to put it in the 13s next spring. I don't have headers yet or a good set of heads. so I have something to play with this winter. Also I want to put on a small set of slicks and a 391 gear maybe even a 750 carb.I drive the truck everyday in the summer months.Well thats my story. Thought you might enjoy hearing it. Anyone else????????

Do what you got to do DaPurpleRT. The info would be appreciated no matter what the nay sayers shovel. It doesn't matter what your inparticular time was, this is a database for comparison and learning experiences. Doesn't that sound familiar, kind of like this site. Anyway I would be a firm supporter in database such as this. Shoot me a line when you get anything up.....seanpearce@hotmail.com.

Er, I NEVER said my truck ran 14s stock. It ran 15.2 with bad wheelspin. Could've run 14s with better tires, but should've, could've, would've ya know.

Like I said, the 14.5 was with a blown bellypan gasket.
