If I did my math right our little 4.7 should not be that hard to get more power out of. I used 650 CFM for flow rate, 5800 for red line and the Comp cams 270HR10 Roller cam specs. When I figure an 11 to 1 static compression ratio or about 4 lbs of boost to the stock compresion ratio I get around 340HP at 5800 and about 431 lbs-ft torque at 4200 RPM's. This seems like a reasonable setup for the computer to handle and for our power trains. Does anyone know the spec's for KRC cam or have a dyno sheet of their super charged 4.7 at low levels of boost? I do not race often and would rather have alot of torque and some HP within the safe limits of this engine. I can not see 500HP @7000 RPM's in a daily driver. How much cam can the stock ECm handle before a reflash is needed?? I am really tired so my math might not be right so please double check.

You don't want the race cam in a daily driver - Marty has told me its going to be crap below 3000 rpms. As for how much cam it can handle without a reflash, keep looking for my name. Over the next couple of months, I'm going to be playing with at least two different cams that will be available once testing is done. CW is also interested in how the engine will react to a bigger cam. I'm with you though about getting more power. I think 300hp on the ground shouldn't be hard for a N/A 4.7 - you just have to know where to look for it.

Last I heard Marty was having problems with the computer, heads and the intake manifold. To make that race engine run at 7000 RPM properly. Guess it wasn't designed to run at that level.;) I am sure he will get it sorted out though.
