I have a 97 dakota with an open diff.Can a posi carrier without a abs ring work or is there a way around the rear abs system. Can the ring be removed and reinstalled.

you can remove and install the tone ring wheel and put it on a carrier that is a sure-grip one. if u dont have the tone ring gear it will set a code. ive had this problem before.
