Well alex, you want to try it out? I'd like to have mine done, but I'm kinda driving it every day right now. I know they are sold ported/polished, but I know of no one who has it done/installed yet.

I am thinking about getting a junkyard pair and sending them off to KRC so they can drop in a set of the new 206/218 cams while they're at it. I may add a set of headers, too......

Demon, where in ATL are you? I'm in downtown Decatur and work in Vinings.

Yeah, I live in the boonies...well, sort of anyway. With all the developement, everything is looking like Snellville/Lawrenceville out here now. I work in Snellville, but I travel all over the state working with different counties and cities. Perhaps we should try to get all the ATL Dakota guys together and do a little story swapping/drinking/eating. I belong to another group that hangs out every once in a while. Here's the web address.

There's suddenly the Metro Atlanta R/T Association or soemthing like that. They are brand new and were at the Hayes Mopar Meet at Commerce a few weekends back. It was funny how i was faster in my 4.7 than all but two of their guys..... hahaha

Yeah, we'll have to schedule some kinda meet-up somwheres... my personal preference is a Commerce so we can race, but we can go wherever I guess.

I'll keep ya'll posted.....

Got to pay a few things off and then save up a little.

Found some junkyard heads for $175 per head.

$350 heads
$xx? for cleaning them up
$400 porting (KRC)
$600 new KRC cams
$450 shorty headers
$xx? custom y-pipe

So far, we're at $1800 that I don't have just yet.... But I'm paying off the truck next month. So that'll be about $450/month that's free & clear.....

Put down $10,000 on a $21,000 truck. Then get $11,000 at 6.79% for three years and it works out to $340/ month..... but since January, I've been paying $440 a month instead.

Basically paying off a 3 yr loan in 2.5 yrs.....

Now I need to build up my savings account because I am stretched kinda thin. Once I have a safety pad in the bank, then it's play time again....

I figure $6,000 is a good safety pad to start with. That's about a yr's worth of putting $450/month in the bank. Then I can take out a home equity loan for $10,000 and be paying that back at about $350/month for a few more years.....

Of course, while I'm paying it off, the truck will be lowered, lockered, ported, polished, wheeled/tired, fender-flared, headered, cammed, and maybe even turbo'd..... guess we'll have to see how it all pans out.

my 02 CC stickered at $27,920 U.S.
I get the supplier plan through work, which knocked it down to 1% below invoice (which basically covered the taxes) and I put another $3,000 down and I pay $440/month for 5 1/2 years

But once I pay off my boat I might do what you did Alex.

Clevite,

You took the supplier discount? Just kinda surprised, the dealer I bought from cut me a much better deal. Ran the numbers both ways and they made a much better offer than that DCX crap. Oh well...
