Heres the situation:
i put in a brand new crate short block 360 in my 92 dak, ec, lowered. i snapped the previous rear end in half about 3 weeks ago. the junk yard bought me a brand new one from the factory. its installed now. Well today at idle, in 87 degree weather on the highway, i hit the gas nice and slow (like a normal driver), and the engine revved for 1 second and then caught at like 1200 rpm, and jerked me forward harshly. the trans mission was rebuilt(w/a shift kit) @ 100K mi. and now has 137K mi. the transmission was pressure flushed 4 weeks ago, so everything should be fine.
WHAT DOES THIS PROBLEM SOUND LIKE TO YOU???

I think it could be the u joints(b/c of all the torque)??

My mechanic says its in the tranny... i thnk he just wants my $$$.

HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

If it revved, then caught, how could it be the u-joints?

I'm sorry but its your names fault. There is a curse on a certian persons name that guarentees problems when it comes to dakotas. Some people called him the Tman, so you are screwed. I'm probably gonna have problems myself just for mentioning it.

Trying to help... is it a 42RH? has it done it more than once? Get a B&M guage for $40 and watch your temps... very useful.
