i have a set of mickey thompson e.t. streets (d.o.t. approved) balanced on a pair of stock 15X8 wheels. Tire size is 26/11.50/15. Stock tire diameter is about 28 inches so it helps lower the gear ratio for a quicker start. $175 for all + shipping.

i will get pics up when i can. One wheel is in great shape, the other has been scratched to hell. Both slicks have a lot of thread left on them. They were my brother's and he lost interest so i got them. One of em has a line around the tire wall from bumping his fender well but does not cut into the tire.

The 26x11.5x15 are a little wide for a 15x8 rim. Mickey Thompson recomends a minimun of a 10" wide rim for the 11.5 wide tires. I just ordered a set of Hoosier Quick Time Pro's for $164 each in a 26x11.5x15 for the 15x10 rims I already have. Total price including tax and shippin was $365.

I bought them from another guy who sold his R/T. You can custom order 15x10 rims from a lot of different places. American Racing has 15x10 black wagon spoke wheels you can buy for under $60 each. Just need to make sure the bolt pattern is 6x4.5 and you have proper backspacing.

The tires fit on there great. I had the Hoosier Quick time pro before and they said they would fit. Dont know what difference the mickey have to need 2 more inches of width but they are on there right now and working fine.

Looks like he was waiting on confirmation from you via an email or post saying you definitly wanted them. You shoudl always follow up on stuff like that.

As far as the 15x11.5 on 8" rims, if you look at the tire guide on most sites, it says a 10" rim is recomended. Just got done looking at Mickey Thompsons website and they list a 10" rim as recomended for the 26x11.5x15 E.T. Street. http://www.mickeythompsontires.com/strip.html

60 bucks each for some custom rims sounds like a deal to me. What do you think the backspacing should be on those rims with a 28" tall 11.5" wide tire?

FlameRed01,

you wrote:
"i'm interested in the slicks, 2 of em, was that price ($150) for 2 or 4?"

now if you wanna get sarcastic with me about it i never realized that was the hole deal... i should of known that by you asking how many tires i had that you wanted them... i answered your question but i never got any money for it... and that was two months ago! Kota has asked me probably 5 times for them and since there was a screw up with his injectors i think i will sell them to him. NOW, if two months ago you said, "what is your phone #/address?" that would of been great because i have been needing money really bad... i have nothing against anybody on this board (not even Ll Blackdak).

HSKR,
i wasnt arguing with you... i just told you what i saw at Hoosier.

Intense, I realize you weren't argueing with me. Hoosiers website does list a 8" rim as the minimum width for a 11.5" wide slick. The 10" rim is just recomended so you get the widest possible contact patch. With the 11.5" wide slick on a 8" rim, you get just as much contact patch as the 10" wide slick on the same rim.

11.5" is the width of the tire at the widest part (usually the wall). The tread is always more narrow than the max width... all the tread touches the ground on these.

Rick is running a 26x10.5 ET street on 8" wide rims, and has done a 13.0X run with them.

even if the 11.5's get the same CP as the 10.5's on launch, they will be just fine.

Steve was running the 26x11.5's on the durango rims and they looked ok IMO.

to get optimum performance, a 10" wide rim would work the best, but i dont think the differance in going from a 10" rim to a 8" rim would make that much, if any differance in 1/4 times in these trucks.

who really cares anyway. Greg is getting rid of them, Brian is getting 10" wide rims, and I will probably be getting these. the only one who should care is me, and i dont.
