True. Its all good, all auto makers have good points and bad points, and I've had my share of both Chevy, Ford, and now Dodge. Each has better qualities than the other, its all a choice/money thing. As long as they all keep it up with giving us performance options and factory-direct performance vehicles, its all good.

There is no such thing as a 2003 Cobra R. The new Cobra is superchareg 4.6 DOHC making 390HP and 390 Ft/lbs. The new Mach1 is basicly the old cobra with a ram air hood. The last Cobra R I believe was a 200 Year model with a NA 5.4 Dohc.

Ok thanks for the clarifiction... I was going nuts trying to find info on "an" 03 Cobra R. 00 was the last year they made a Cobra R which had 385hp and 385ft/lbs.

Anywho, as far as the mach1 goes, I love the way it looks except for the black spoiler... I think it could either do without it or it needs to be the same color as the car, although im sure its retro to the late 60 early 70 mach1's.

I`ve seen some dyno sheets at a SVT board. 03 Cobras : 350-360 at the wheels( stock ) . So their rated 390 (flywheel) is a little conservative. Prolly more like 420.

Same with 01 / 02 Lightnings: 350+ (rear wheel) and 425+ ft. lbs !!!

Gotta admit , SVT is making some killer power.

And its so easy to get more with just a mere pulley change.

When I was gettin my truck dynoed they saved the '03 Cobra for last & it pulled 391 at the rear wheels and it was all stock (so he said).

I saw 380 something with K&N and air silencer removed. 391 !!!!!!!!!!! yikes ! Thats about what a Viper has. And for 35 K.

We would need a blown 408 to keep up with that.
Id love to see that. Its possible. All it takes is $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Anybody see Sal Manellas Lighting at dragtruk.com He`s got a 10.78 timeslip. I figured it out with a HP/ET calculator........... approx. 775 RWHP and prolly close to 1000 ft lbs. Talk about big_torque. hee hee

Well while 12.9 is impressive out of a stock anything I would say it wouldnt be super hard to pull that off in an R/T... However if what they're saying about a simple belt replacment on the 03 cobra is true, and it pulls High 11's... Damn... lol

well, no car is the same so some could dyno higher than others. there was a stock 4.7 auto club cab that dynoed 220 at the rear wheels. That seems a little more than other 4.7s. I read in one of the super chevy mags (or gm high tech) that one of their editors drove a bone stock trans am (325 hp) 12.89 in the 1/4 mile. Now it was either a little more than 325 hp or one damn good driver!
