 Subject: 93' excab acceleration

the acceleration on my '93 Dakota Ex-Cab sucks... it has pretty much none at all. if i punch it it takes like 2 to 3 seconds to hit the rear wheels, then they just spin out... its not the tires cuz theyre brand new... is there anything fairly inexpensive i can do to remedy this?

What motor/trans combo? Give us more info. Check TPS. If that ain't it , we will need more symptoms.
