Subject: Kenne Bell Supercharger modded for 3.9L?
IP: Logged

Message:
I am gonna save up some cash and get a supercharger... Kenne Bell looks like a very good one. I plan on turning my truck into a high-performance racing truck. I'm learning to be a mechanic, plus I'm gonna take some courses in college, and hopefully I will have my own garage someday. I looked up Superchargers and when I have the money, I either want a T4 turbo (speedtweaks will have available for Dak's sometime), a Paxton NOVI-1000, or a Kenne Bell system. speedtweaks.net says the NOVI-1000 and the rest of their SC's can be modded to fit a 3.9L V6, and when they release the Garrett T4 single turbo, it will be able to fit a V6 as well. Can the Kenne Bell system be modded as well? Other mods I plan on: JBA cat-4-ward headers, a gibson supertruck cat-back exhaust, Bosch Platinum +4 sparkplugs, JBA power cables, possibly a Holley fuel injection system, and some kind of programmable performance module. I currently have an Intense Performance 7" Powerstack intake, nothing more at the moment.:(

Oh yea I'm also contemplating just pulling out the 3.9L and dropping in a 5.2L in its place...

I was thinking about picking up a 5.9 to start building up for a transfer...be a good winter project and there would be no rush to finishing it...plus its alot easier to work on when its not sitting in a truck.

Anyone got some money laying around?...lol

born, FYI there is a place that sells a 408 kit (crank, pistons, rods, ect) for like $1500. if you are interested, i can find the company's number. they are cast parts, but if you are not getting a SC, or No2, that would be a good engine.
