Anyone else have an intake from them?

www.intenseperformance.com

What do you think of it?

When I first got it, I noticed a much better throttle response and much better acceleration. I removed that brittle rubber flap from the passenger-side next to the radiator. In cold air, it really makes a difference. But one thing I noticed, is the performance of it started to deteriorate. I looked at the filter and the inner part of the filter is full of dirt and bug residue... Just took a long trip back and forth from Dallas to San Antonio. Guess I gotta clean it...

Another thing...

Anyone have the Stage III cold-air kit? I'm thinking of upgrading to that once I've saved up some more dough...

I noticed a difference, but I also changed to the 70mm throttle body, so my intense performance intake is the larger 4" z tube. Not sure if they still sell them.

When I bought mine he said it is one of the last, so i'm not sure, but it works great. Aside from the fact it's HUGE and looks like an airplane part. :)

Had it for about two months. The throttle response is the biggest difference, not to mention better acceleration.

I stumbled on a comparison test of several intakes a while back...don't remember which website. They tested the K&N, 360, Airaid, Intense and a few others that I wasn't familiar with. The Intense beat them all. That's what I'm putting on mine...

Scott, Ya have to admit this looks bad a$$ though,

For the aesthetics of it, it was worth the extra $150 to me. (And it will look really good when I get my cold air kit on there.) And I'm going to rice it out and Paint the valve covers HIGH HEAT YELLOW when I do the Cams this week end.

For those of you who have to buy school clothes and shoes for the wife and don't have a lot of extra dollars for truck mods, we still make and sell air intakes:

http://www.stores.ebay.com/desertairintakes

30 day no hassle return policy and over 100 satisified customers. If you can afford name brand intakes, go for it. But, if you need an intake that works at a reasonable price, try our intake and return in 30 days if not happy.

You have to be kidding me, trying to sell that homebrew. If I wanted a homebrew I would build it. And it would be the dual intake I saw over at dodgetrucks.org. Oh and I have to buy clothes for my wife, as for my daughter she goes to montessori and doesn't require uniforms.

So what size flux capacitor you got in there?

fenris, The truck does perform better when colder, thats why it's reccomended to use a 180 thermostat and relocate the sensor to inside the intake tube, something I still need to do...

If I'm using a 4" z-tube, is there another place for me to relocate my IAT sensor, as I am NOT going to drill a hole in my z-tube :)

Any ideas?

Oh yea... That's another thing I did, I relocated the IAT sensor into the tube... Had to drill a nice hole in it. I also do plan on getting a 180 Thermostat.

I live in Mass and also have the stage 3. Yup its snowing out right now. I wouldn't worry about the moisture or anything. Its sucking in air from the firewall. I haven't had a problem yet.
