Congrats on the purchase, awesome huh?

sorry, probably not, those suckers are quick 300hp and nearly that in torque. It might be close, I'm sure others will argue my opinion, but you know how it goes, you'll have to race and find out

btw...post some pics, I wanna see what the new rear disc brakes and interior looks like

I have a Cadillac Allante' Convertible (2 seater)that is basically a shortened, lightened Eldorado. Made in 1993, the last year.
It has 300/300 hp and tq.
My 4.7 can't touch it and I dought an R/T would.

They always add something we want the model year AFTER we make our purchase. Kinda silly, eh?

I would have liked rear disc, but the Hemi is what's going to make me fork over the cash.

I was relly expecting rear disc brakes on the Dakota in 2002 too, but it's not that much of a difference to get a new one. If the hemi goes into the Dakota, I wonder what that'll do to it's insurance. Might not make it very feasible for some of us younger crowd.

I took a Northstar Eldorado- but is was close. The late 20's yuppie was pissed. '97 318 5speed 3.55 open, K&N FIPK, MP PCM, Autolites, 180* T-stat, Flomaster. You might get him, only one way to find out.

I say "no way". Not at least until you do some pretty heavy part swapping, but then there's the traction issue. The STS has a very effective traction control system that doesn't just kill the bottom end altogether (like our Dakotas) but monitors for wheelspin via the ABS sensors. Boils down to getting as much torque to the road as possible depending on pavement type/condition.

The luxobarge Eldo won't touch an STS either, not even with the Northstar.

Gibson Dual Sport, AirForce One air intake, Jet II, IAT, TPS, when are we gonna see some real parts??!!

I beat a STS , he ran mid 15's (can't find the time slip right now)but was slow mid track pulled real hard at the end. Don't think you will beat him with no mods, unless you race to the lumber yard pick up 4 sheets of plywood and 6 bags of concret and race back.
