Subject: Exhaust tone changing?
IP: Logged

Message:
My '02 4.7 QC now has about 5,000 miles on it. I've noticed that the exhaust seems to sound better than when I got it. A deeper rumblyier sound....especially when just idling. Has anyone else noticed this? Could it be at least partially from the 3923s?

Don't get me wrong, it's not where I want it to be yet, I am still looking for a decent cat-back.

the custom exhaust shop around here has done custom exhaust on two of my vehicles to include my R/T. He told me that mufflers do tend to "break in" and the tone will get better, and the experience that I have had as well as my brother he was correct.
