Help please, I tried to get the cams in this morning and I couldn't even get the left valve cover off!! It hits the brake booster. Maybe the engine sits different in the 4x4?? Plus, there's a large wire harness that doesen't want to co-operate on moving out of the way. Man, I'm pi$$ed, everyone tells me this is simple, and I can't even get started!! FYI, 2K1 QC 4.7L 4x4

i had same prob.....the left valve cover, the back of the cover needs to be lifted over the pcv valve nipple before comming forward....and the wire harness that hits all the plugs etc....dissconnect all plugs, sensors and move the whole wire harness down next to the exhaust manifolds. that should clear you enough room.

it took me like 4 hours to do it first time....
i did it again on a friends truck, took me like little less than 2 hours.
