 Subject: 1/4 Racing in Fontana on Sept 21!!

I'm getting a group of Dakota owners together for the last street racing weekend of the season in Fontana on Sept. 21 (Saturday). The group I'm rolling with is going to meet at the Jack N the Box(left side, one block from track) at 9:00am. The track opens at 7:00am for those who just can't wait. The track does seperate racers by groups(first come first serve basis), so the early or late arrivals might not have any other Dakota owners in their group.

I didn't go on the 17th because I was in Washington. My buddy Ed with his Silver 4x4 Quad attended and he told me it was lots of fun. I'm hoping for a bigger turnout than 6, but either way I'll get me a few kills. ;)

I finally got my truck together so I will try to get out there. Never been to a track before so it will be interesting. I will be in a black CC r/t. I will be there really early icing down my car, cus after the long drive it will be really hot.
Anyone comming from newport/huntington area, i would like to figure out some real directions.

dry ice worked great last saturday. tucking it in
the intake manifold cooled it down real fast.
my truck still ran like dog sh!t though !
hopefully cams, LS, gears etc will be installed
next time. open rear end and street tires just
doesnt cut it at Fontana.

Ah, much easier to follow then mapquest, thanks for the directions. As of now I will be there. I just hope I can get some 15's and slicks by then.

gonna try, I got hit the other day, I am hoping
the dak isnt in the shop for long....I'm trying to
squeeze a shave job out of it. hehehe. At the

the last accident I was in (98 s-10) was
similar, but not so hard, the guy was going
like 15mph, and there was only $3000 worth
of damage. this one, she was going about
30mph, I'm lucky I didnt have a rollpan on
there, but there has to be at least $7,000 -
$10,000 worth of damage. my settlement
better be twice that much, considering how
much my neck and back is damaged.

Deepdak, it would be a close race, if he put in
the 100 pill ; ) he runs 8.47 in the 1/8th, which
is an estimated 13.2 1/4 mile with a 25 shot.
he should gain almost another full second in
the 1/8th with the 100 shot, which is a high 11
1/4 mile time....I doubt he would risk blowing
up his motor to spank an 11 sec R/T though

correct me if im wrong but a 13.4 minus 1 second = 12.4... he would need another 50 shot to cut a 1/2 second, and some wider tires.
BTW Scotts mph is a best of 122 mph.. that is a 10 sec mph, and he squeezed another 50 HP out of his truck since he last ran it.
