I ran this weekend at the SCCA event here. I did really well for my first time out on a basically stock R/T. I put the front RSA's at 44 psi and the rear at 38. My best run was an uncorrected 1:35.3 and the low time of the day for anybody was a 1:20.2. After factoring in the PAX for the classes I came in 3rd overall. Being beat by a fully prepared to the extent of the rules Subie RS, and just barely (1/2 sec) by a turbo SAAB. I actually had faster unfactored times then a SVT contor owned by a club menber, and a couple of 5.0 stangs. The 3900 pound Dakota was easilly the heaviest thing there. They used the truck to help setup the course thinking I was just there to watch. Think I really surprised them when I actually ran. Look at the website for bigsky38 website for some pictures and the results from August 11th. They havent posed the results you had from Kalispell yet, you need to get them on it!

Hope ya had fun. Good looking truck, thats the Color I wanted for mine, but it wasn't available for 2002. I even tried paying extra to dodge to do it Solar Yellow when I ordered it, NO DICE.

NICE! I was actually going to drive down to that race, but it was my birthday -- happy 19 for me -- and didn't feel like driving. Damn, now I wish I had. I am glad you enjoyed it! It seems like you had a lot of fun.
There is another race this next Sunday up here; however, I'll be in Seattle, so I will Miss it. You need to come to our course up here though. We have got to have one of the tightest, curvyest, insane courses out there. I don't know what's with our head guy, but he liked to make courses complicated. We have a serious case of DNFs for Novices.
Yeah, I checked it yesterday and saw the Aug. 11 postings, but didn't bother reading it since I didn't know anyone racing. We'll get that up there eventually, it usually takes them about two months to get it updated, heh.
People laughed at me when I staged :( bastards. My girlfriend said the laughing stoped shortly after I started though. It's a head turner for sure and with two trucks of the same type it may convey a nice intimidation message :)
I've asked other trucks in town to go out there, because we really need more trucks, but no one will. "Nah, I don't do that." WTF is all that suspension then!? It would be awesome if you showed up, specially being another Dakota. I was the first truck in years they've had out there.
Oh, that reminds me. Did I tell you I ordered the Hotchkis suspension and it should be here any day! Should make things a little more insteresting.
Also, if you buy a SCCA membership, buy it on the day of the race, because you race free that day if you do. Then, your race fees are only like half or something and it's for a year -- not a bad deal.
Hey yates-in-DE, I was also looking for Solar Yellow on the 2002s..

Funny, actually I'll be in Seattle this weekend also. Then I'll be up in C-Falls at the waterslides Thursday next week but both trips we are taking the van. We have two autocross events down here on Labor day weekend, so maybe I'll be able to get to one of those. We have company coming down from Seattle that wekend so I'm not sure.

I'm hoping to hit at least one more up this year. A friend of mine has a DV cam and we hope to maybe get some footage too, maybe we can get one of your R/T!
The Northwest regionals are in Seattle this weekend, but I have no idea where or when. I'll be in Spokane Sat. and then to Seattle for a week.
With you, me, and the guy in Cd'Alene, we have a very small regional Dakota meet, lol. We need all those guys from Calgary to come down -- that's only a five hour drive.
I showed a couple people your score today, it just freakin' rocks!
